Imagine Philomath in 2050—what do you hope to see? 

Philomath Community Vision 2050 is a community-led effort to shape a shared vision for the next 25+ years. This initiative is not owned by any single organization, it is driven by the people who live, work, learn, and invest in Philomath every day. 

This work brings together residents, local businesses, schools, nonprofits, and civic partners to align around what matters most for the future of Philomath. By connecting ideas and building on the great work already happening across the community, we are creating a clear, actionable roadmap for where we want to go together.

  • Philomath is home to passionate people, strong organizations, and a deep sense of community. But like many places, efforts can sometimes happen independently rather than collectively. 

    Vision 2050 is about changing that. 

    This process is designed to bring people to the same table, creating space to listen, learn, and align. When we move forward together, we can make a greater impact than any one group can alone. 

    Through this work, we will: 

    • Break down silos and strengthen collaboration across organizations and sectors  

    • Align priorities so community efforts are working toward shared goals  

    • Maximize resources by reducing duplication and increasing coordination  

    • Create a unified direction for future investments, partnerships, and initiatives  

    While the City of Philomath is sponsoring the development of this initiative, this vision is completely driven by community input. The resulting Vision 2050 will be owned by the community, with community organizations coming together to bring the vision to life through partnership and collaboration.

    Ultimately, this effort helps ensure that Philomath’s future is shaped intentionally, inclusively, and with a shared sense of purpose.

    • A shared 25-year community vision plan that reflects the values and aspirations of Philomath  

    • Clear, aligned priorities across organizations, partners, and community groups  

    • Identified community-wide projects and opportunities that move the vision forward  

    • A roadmap for action to guide funding, partnerships, and decision-making  

    • A stronger sense of community pride and shared purpose  

    • A foundation for long-term impact on quality of life and economic vitality  

    This vision will serve as a guidepost for future decisions, helping ensure that growth, investment, and change reflect what the community truly wants.
